Tobin | Parnes Design Enterprises Receives State Certification as Women-Owned Business
New York, NY (February 22, 2010) — Tobin | Parnes Design Enterprises (TPDE), a full-service interior design and architecture firm in New York City, was recently granted status as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise as determined through New York State eligibility requirements, pursuant to Executive Law, Article 15-A.
TPDE is officially listed with the State of NY as a provider of services in the areas of Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Design and Green Building Consulting Services.
Article 15-A of the Executive Law, signed into law on July 19, 1988, authorized the creation of an Office (now Division) of Minority and Women's Business Development to promote employment and business opportunities on state contracts for minorities and women. Under this statute, state agencies are charged with establishing employment and business participation goals for minorities and women.
The certification gives TPDE tremendous advantages in acquiring State Agency work and in creating new alliances within the industry.
