Tobin | Parnes Design Enterprises Announces The Queens — Long Island Renal Institute, The New Dialysis Center at The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation
New York, NY (May 13, 2010) — Tobin | Parnes Design Enterprises (TPDE), a full-service interior design and architecture firm in New York City, is proud to announce the completion of their latest interiors project, The Queens Long Island Renal Institute (QLIRI), a new dialysis center located at The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation (PJI). The state-of-the-art dialysis center will offer renal treatment for both PJI resident elders and patients within NYC's five boroughs and Long Island, NY.
TPDE took a holistic approach in creating a patient-centered environment after a comprehensive study was conducted with the goal of achieving the highest standard of superior care. The result is a design that is focused on restorative wellness, patient safety, environmental amenities and maximizing spatial constraints.
In addition, by recognizing the long, stressful, repetitive treatment and extensive time required for dialysis infusion, TPDE designed a calm, inviting, non-institutional environment to promote life, reduce stress and encourage hope. The use of nature inspired graphics, organic floor and wall patterning, enhanced daylight and an uplifting color palette create a peaceful aesthetic in a welcoming park-like atmosphere.
